In the wake of Colin Kaepernick’s polarizing decision to sit on a protest during the National Anthem, actor James Woods is exercising his right to boycott all future NFL television broadcasts.

According the Foxnews.com, the silver screen star is adamant in his stance to never again tune into a game in response to the San Francisco Quarterback’s unpatriotic display.  Whether or not Woods will be watching games on his device, listening to radio game broadcasts, or is involved in on-line fantasy football leagues is not known at this time.

The distasteful actions of Kaepernick, which encapsulated the nation and spurred stagnant debate having little or no effective on current policy, has breached the threshold in allowing for the obligatory copycat antics of athletes in less than popular sports attempting to grasp in vain at the mandatory quest for 15 seconds of fame.  Recently, a female fast-pitch softball player at a junior college in Colorado chose to kneel during the Anthem in protest to animal rights and the protocol of local businesses and specifically restaurants barring the admittance of helper monkeys.

It’s time to boycott all sports in favor of the arts.
