Reporter Stacy Washington merely attempted to staunch the bogus and heedless rhetoric of certain journalists and politicians in comparing the National Rifle Association to Isis.
The New York Daily reports that her efforts at providing sensibility amid a volcanic eruption of discontent in early May were met with severe sanctions and she was disciplined by her employer, The St. Louis Post- Dispatch. Read her controversial Op-Ed here.
Washington told The New York Post, “I’m not ashamed that I’m an NRA supporter, a Bible-thumper, that I love Jesus Christ. I’m all the way out there. There’s nothing else that I can do to articulate my perspective any more clearly on where I stand.”
She has since quit her position with the newspaper and is an obvious casualty of the leftist tendencies which plague so-called “news” organizations.
