While the European Union has hit the brakes on accepting more refugees from Syria and other war-torn nations with terrorists ties, the Obama administration is on track to fulfill its goal of resettling 10,000 more asylum seekers by the end of September, 2016.
This is despite FBI and CIA warnings that they cannot adequately vet those coming into the United States as many carry no form of identification.
At a June hearing on CIA intelligence activities, CIA Director John Brennan said ISIS is attempting infiltrate operatives into the West through “refugee flows, smuggling routes and legitimate methods of travel.”
Officials in EU states are caving to public pressure as the continent has faced unrelenting terrorist attacks from ISIS members. The terror group has openly bragged that it exploits the loose rules of host nation’s refugee programs to infiltrate.
According to the Washington Examiner, since October 2015 Obama has allowed 8,000 Syrian refugees to resettle in America, even in the 31 states in which governors have openly called for a ban on accepting them. The administration uses religious and other faith-based organizations to plant the asylum seekers in states which balk at the federal program.
European nations planned to bring in 160,000 Syrians, but have all but halted their programs, reports the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS).
France has admitted only 1,330 refugees of 30,000 planned last year, but the country “has been under direct threat from ISIS and has suffered tremendously this past year from multiple terrorist attacks on its soil. French intelligence services know for a fact that terrorists from the Middle East have infiltrated refugee flows crossing into Europe. Many of those so-called refugees have been directly linked with the latest terrorist attacks in Paris and Brussels. This particular climate is even jeopardizing the Schengen Agreement and its free movement policy, as many European governments have actually started implementing border controls again.”
The European Union member states have learned the hard way that accepting unvetted refugees results in terror attacks and have subsequently adjusted their open border policies to resettlement. Meanwhile, the Obama administration is doubling down on its plan to import possible jihadists to America.
