As evidence of reason is once again found within newly formed political micro-climates, the trickle down mechanism of sensibility from leaders to constituents is fueled by hope that the PC movement has finally reached an apex.
Empire state senator Rob Ortt, recently authored a resounding statement in the war to preserve universities as destinations of higher learning. However, with the framework of the campus infrastructure configured with its own ingrained and unique flow of idealism based on the predominate delusion of faculty members, Ortt’s call to action may fall on deaf ears. Earlier this year, officials at SUNY Binghamton were thoroughly maligned for allowing an introductory course titled “Stop White People”, as part of the school’s curriculum. Though public gestures of remorse were broadcast through the information highways, accountability was fleeting and the table is set for an uphill battle.
Ortt’s charged letter in direct response to current efforts to adopt the sanctuary status for the entire SUNY system, challenges the potential consequences of allowing undocumented students to study and work on campus, according to State of Politics. The Republican politician cites the preservation of order and law as foundational concepts for a comprehensive learning environment in the absence of contrary perspectives.
