With the high proportion of leftist faculty members tainting the learning environments on college campuses across the nation, the threshold has arrived where the sanctimonious periodically coalesce in the form of viral and careless electronic rants which threaten the existence of grace and joy on a national holiday.
The nation received the ultimate iteration of a lump of coal in the collective stocking as a Drexel University professor chose Christmas to unleash a shocking and incendiary tirade on the current societal construct and giving new meaning to a “White Christmas”. Fox News reports that George Ciccariello-Maher, authored an eloquent and insightful Twitter post on Sunday stating, “All I want for Christmas is white genocide.” The inflammatory words triggered an immediate backlash on-line, as legions of reasonable people fired back at the cretin of the campus realm. Of course, in the wake of the controversy Ciccariello-Maher, who is technically merely an associate professor of politics and global Studies, claimed that the remark was cutting-edge satire and reestablished the stereotype that liberals lack accountability when they are caught crossing the line of decency.
The dolt followed the innovative lack of thought with another stunner, “To clarify: when the whites were massacre during the Haitian revolution, that was a good thing indeed.”
The most pleasant surprise of the entire ugly narrative, was the response of Drexel University officials in attempting to cauterize the situation with a swift and efficient retort. In a prepared statement, the Philadelphia-based university categorized Ciccariello-Maher’s choice of words as “reprehensible” and “deeply disturbing”.
Whether or not this leads to any degree of reprimand or more serious consequence for the raving lunatic, garners a certain level of intrigue as to the fate of another Grinch representing the counter-cultural movement. With the entire spectrum of the nations’ University infrastructure under fire from questionable admission standards, offensive course titles and hypocritical content, and the polarizing behavior of employees, serious changes need to be enacted to prevent the next generation of parents looking at astronomical higher education costs as a simple and avoidable nuisance.
