Google “Bill Belichick” and on the second page of results the first of many blurbs indicate that the New England Patriot head coach is taking an inordinate amount of flack for being a Donald Trump supporter.
While it is apparently not enough to simply enjoy arguably one of the greatest games in pro football history for the lunatic proportion of the population who continues to beat a dead horse, the disconcerting thread is that these individuals are not going to cease their incessant whining for the next four years at the cost of friends, family, sanity and their supposed country.
Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady were both blasted by various facets of the media last week for their association with President Trump. The usual suspects of the progressive commentator community quipped, disparaged, and all but labeled the pair as anti-american for their affinity with the President.
What is a truly ominous enigma is how the Northeast, while shrouded in an incumbent sea of blue democrat voters, can justify a love for a team anchored by the pair of Trump supporters?
Tom Brady cemented himself as the most successful quarterback in NFL history by winning his fifth Super Bowl trophy; will a golfing friendship with Trump keep him along with Belichick out of the Hall of Fame on the first ballot?
The most enjoyable part of the broadcast was not the nail-biting ending culminating in the dramatic overtime touchdown, or the sickening audacity of a certain beverage consortium contributing to the Trump hate by attempting to air a racy advertisement. (Really Budweiser- You do not know that your prime demographic is middle aged white men who voted for Trump?) No, the karmic balance from heaven came to awesome fruition when NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was introduced and justifiably booed vociferously by the voluminous crowd much to the delight of Belichick and Brady. Of course Goodell angered and alienated the majority of the Dallas metroplex in disallowing Cowboy football players from wearing stickers on helmets to support law enforcement personal in the wake of the July tragedy in the city. If anyone should be publicly tarred and feathered it should be Goodell, but of course the biased press and various personalities are just not smart enough to realize who the real enemy is.
