You just can’t make this stuff up.
An influential Democrat from Texas, who was somehow elected into office by clueless voters, decided that an upgrade to a window seat was more to her liking on a flight from Washington D.C. to Houston. Fox News reports that as a result of her majesty’s influence, a passenger who had reserved the seat assignment, was told by a United Airlines representative at the check-in counter, that the reservation was in fact cancelled.
Of course, like any reasonable individual, the unfortunate woman got a wee bit upset over the blatant favoritism and pathetic attempt at pandering, and upon boarding the plane took a photo of representative Shelia Jackson Lee, which shows the congresswoman apparently enjoying the cryptic upgrade to first class. Similar to every arrogant politician on both sides of the ledger, Lee inserted accusations of racism in firing back at the passenger. The high maintenance representative has a dubious history of demanding 5-star service in a manner befitting royalty, and it doesn’t get much prettier on Capitol Hill, as former staff members voted Lee as the “meanest” member of congress.
United apologized to the passenger and offered her a $500 travel voucher, but this pillow fight is far from over, as the airline claims that the reservation was deliberately or accidentally cancelled through the corporation’s app on the passenger’s smart phone. The beleaguered traveler has made claims through social networking that United routinely bumps reservations and upgrades politicians, an observation that does not seem far-fetched, when considering the immediate benefits to the airline in propagating strong relationships with lawmakers.
As for Lee and other race baiting individuals, who continue to cry wolf and leach off the flow of public monies like insatiable scavengers, the real victims in this jaded world of entitlement are the innovative and responsible hard working Americans pouring billions of dollars into government, which has all the qualities of a bureaucratic runaway train. This sorry excuse for a social justice warrior has personally set back race relations to the stone age, but to simply criticize her politics or shady relationships with the travel industry is a blatant act of racism.
