“Hey lighten up. It was just a joke.” Certain media (non) personalities are resorting to the age-old juvenile tactics of deflection, after gregariously smashing their expansive and bulbous hooves directly into the mouth, in a sickening display of grotesque decadence and negligence.
Once again, the eternal and patronizing matron of the morning network telecasts, the brash Joy Behar, has once again inexplicably managed to admonish the religious majority of the nation, appear horrendously homely in dolling out an unacceptable statement and stay employed. (But Oprah is a liberal Christian, so it is all good?) With television ratings in an utter free fall, “no press is bad press” and morality takes a backseat.
Fox News shares the latest of Behar’s deplorable observations regarding contemporary society, in which the bitter host of The View, labels Vice President Mike Pence’s relationship with Jesus Christ as a “mental illness.” Her ill-timed remark set off a firestorm of controversy and staunch backlash from all fifty states. Apparently, Behar cannot process the contemporary reality of left-winged groups attacking Christianity and promoting Islam, while 75% of the country’s population is force fed dubious propaganda by a liberal and biased media. When called out for her unsavory commentary, of course Behar backtracked and used humor as the excuse for her reckless opinion. The hypocrisy continues to kill brain cells.
In normal times, there exists a broad latitude for the direct criticism of religion, but these are not typical circumstances, as a militant minority is continually baiting and shaming Christians, while siding with the followers the Koran in pushing the ultimate agenda of implementing Sharia Law. Humor is the a needed vehicle in diffusing the intensity and detrimental side effects of societal debate, but to hide behind the mechanism of a joke, in defending a tasteless and damming remark, is a sign of desperation and cowardice. The same childish mentality is displayed in this viral clip of a disciple of Hillary, readily attacking a Trump supporter on an airplane, and blaming the severe consequences of her tantrum squarely on her fellow passenger.
