Within the grand bastions of even his most terrifying nightmares and bold dreams comprised of transforming ethereal story lines into Broadway brash musical productions which transcend legitimacy and embrace hedonistic prevalence, composer Andrew Lloyd Webber would fail to bend reality in explaining the curious bedfellows and fiery adversaries responsible for the modern political and ideological tapestry.
Over the weekend, as the vast vacuum of the social networks show no respect for the universal force of time and reality, while promoting the near future over the now and current tangible reality, a pair of pawns emerged from the electronic hemisphere to engage in a feud that can be characterized as ancient history at least to the younger generations, who fail to grasp traditional perspectives or patterns of thought. Somehow, the superficially magnanimous politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is stuck in a feedback loop on every comment thread, post, meme and deliberately biased digital trending news mechanism, as the wonder girl face for change, the new world order, and the antithesis to the alpha-male brashness of Trump, and her involvement in an online spar with the founder of Greenpeace, only serves to set humanity back to the wondrous age of horse travel and periodic famines, of course if the methane bi-product of nature’s original SUV is labeled a greenhouse gas.
Apparently, Moore has curiously tempered his world view over the last two decades, a far cry from the militant organizer of aggressive environmentalism, including guerilla tactics and vandalism as a disciple of Edward Abbey, and took exception to the Green New Deal musings of Ocasio-Cortez, in a heated stream of consciousness on the Twittersphere, reports Fox News, which served to scold the Freshman congresswoman for fundamentalist leanings. Interestingly, the context of the Tweets focused on admonishing the blatant aversion to fossil fuels by leftist radicals in embracing an unrealistic and unsustainable call to action, a viewpoint which places the reinvented co-founder of Greenpeace more in line with the oil industry, than with Al Gore’s dark minions of anti-free market dissidents. In recent years, Moore has faced scrutiny from the major players of the environmental movement for going too soft and accusations have been swirling throughout the hippy commune community that the once iconic figurehead is, GASP, motivated by self-promotion and personal wealth, rather than saving the planet. As deliciously intriguing as the back alleyway street fight between two radical elements in displaying a wealth of hypocrisy and ideological cannibalism, the reality that a once influential leader of a countercultural directive literally outs the core group of climate alarmists as incredulous power hungry entrepreneurs pursuing profit over truth or stewardship, is a full-on dirty bomb of game changing shift in reputation and public perception. No longer can Moore and other effective fundraisers of campaigns forwarded by emotion and not science can shield themselves from the truth that the health planet is not the priority, but pure indoctrination and financial prowess is, and the use of mother earth in the scheme is merely a vehicle to prompt donations and spark outrage. The entire industry of environmentalism is one big scam inside a Matryoshka doll construct of grits and ploys and with the flow of misinformation at times linear and in other instances circuitous and marked by buzzwords and innuendo.
Fortunately, the existence of Moore and his accolades as a prevalence fixer, provides skeptics with a formidable example of an individual egregiously disguising exploitation with idealism, an actuality that is immune from debate or the corrosive editing tactics of propaganda. While Ocasio-Cortez is merely a shill and will morph to any form consistent with the flavor of the month activism uniting liberals, Moore plays a more nefarious and complete role in lobbying for dollars from both sides of the ledger, but that does not make it any less frustratingly confusing to the average voter in making an informed voting decision, or in supporting policy.
At least the Greenpeace co-founder orchestrated an entertaining and vicious digital attack in even coming across as reasonable worthy of a mic drop. The last line of Tweet allegedly came from an on-line forum populated by zings that apply to putting the two youngest generations in their place during social networking skirmish.
But don’t let a few coherent grouping of letters and symbols erase the deplorable sins of the past, directly responsible for a challenging future and the current headaches faced in undoing the damage of persuasive myths.
