Hillary Rodham Clinton, speaking to an audience in Los Angeles over the weekend, asserted that the 2016 election was “stolen” from her, while husband and former President Bill Clinton sat with her on the stage and supporters applauded.
Claiming also that she has been talking to other potential candidates who seek her counsel, Clinton remarked, “I think it’s also critical to understand that, as I’ve been telling candidates who have come to see me, you can run the best campaign, you can even become the nominee, and you can have the election stolen from you.”
Writing for the National Review, veteran scribe Jim Geraghty suggested that Clinton’s crybaby attitude two years into the Trump administration is beginning to have an effect on the entire Democrat party.
“Back on October 21, 2016, when she thought she was going to win the presidential election handily,” Geraghty recalled, “Hillary Clinton declared as part of her stump speech, ‘Donald Trump refused to say that he’d respect the results of this election. By doing that, he’s threatening our democracy.’ What do you call not respecting the results of the election afterwards? Last month Clinton claimed, despite the conclusions of Florida elections officials and the Mueller report, ‘The Russians were in the county election systems of every county in Florida.
“Hillary Clinton is the worst offender,” Geraghty added, “but her mentality has spread to the whole party.”
According to Fox News, the grand tour by Bill and Hillary has gone bargain basement in terms of ticket prices. The story noted that “The best seats in the house at Seattle’s WaMu Theater on Friday could be had for $829, a steep 54% drop from the $1,785 that the former first couple fetched when the tour was announced in early November. The official prices for Friday’s appearance ranged from $66.50 to $519, the Seattle Times reported.”
The Clintons still have a diehard faithful following in the Seattle area, where wealthy elitists continue to bankroll gun control initiative campaigns despite reminders like the one from the Associated Press over the weekend that criminals don’t obey gun laws. According to the AP and KTUU, recent thefts from two gun shops on the Olympic Peninsula have netted about 125 stolen firearms entering the criminal pipeline. In one theft, from a Gorst gun store, 98 firearms were stolen. Last month, a gun store in Sequim was burglarized and 30 firearms were taken, the story detailed.
As those guns move through criminal hands, there will not be a single background check or waiting period. Nobody on the receiving end of an illegal gun sale will have to provide proof of safety training during the past five years. And chances are, some of the handguns will wind up in the hands of street thugs under age 21.
Clinton’s 2016 campaign alienated gun owners in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio and Florida. Early on, she literally declared war on the now-embattled National Rifle Association, so it might just be that Clinton didn’t so much have the election stolen as she threw it away by calling people “deplorables” for lining up behind Donald Trump.
