Calling out tyrants in politican to politican tweet spars will not longer be tolerated thanks to new commuity policy drafted by Twitter.
Okay, so the folks at Twitter allegedly operate a publicly traded corporation and can enact any rules, restrictions, and punishments to account holders regardless of the ridiculous implications rivaling the impending horror of hypothetically placing Joy Behar as warden and executive for the development of innovation in truth and honesty techniques at Guantanamo Bay. While the entire definition of the Stockholm Syndrome would require a prompt scuttling under the nearby exotic turquoise Caribbean waters followed by an intense reworking session in restoring the concept to a level that does not involve physical depravity, the curiously growing inmate population of conservative male politicians would certainly be willfully overlooked by staff at the UN.
The egregious and disjointed system of censorship currently in place at the social network specializing in deconstructing the eloquence and meaningful art form of language, is not that far off from perfecting insanity by coding their own version of shipping a radical homely Hollywood has been to Cuba to propagate a brutal and resounding reign of terror. In a rambunctious Silicon Valley celebration of overengineering lacking redundancy, the Twitter brass has decided to up the ante in the further destruction of an already broken moderation engine in actually making things much worse, if the possibility is capable of existence within the three dimensional world. Besides conjuring a traffic jam road rage level frustration among the reasonable vote in banning certain accounts and content, the audacity of the corporate leadership to constantly pawn the online community off as a forum for the free exchange of ideas is readily lost within the lighting fast news cycle of dwindling attentions spans, and new policy will certainly fan the flames of discontent.
While 2018 was the beginning of the Bolshevik Revolution style purges with innumerable identities and information disappearing into thin air only to be banished to the forever electronic caverns of internet jail and invisibility, 2019 has seen a surgical approach to end user management. In enhancing the flawed two-step approach to control the dispersion of specific content, the social media entity is now specifically targeting political accounts in an obvious dress rehearsal for the pending raucous digital atmosphere and Communist hacker cell infused chaos of the 2020 election, reports ABC News, as the pursuit for artificial intelligence perfected censorship continues. Twitter claims that the flagging and processing of politicians on both sides of the ledger will be policed with equatable force, an incredulous and laughable notion that holds as much validity as the ambiguous site “Terms and Conditions” in liming the influence and impressions of conservative viewpoints, gun owners, and religious institutions that are outside of the Muslim realm. This is clearly a shot at the president and an endorsement for the 20 bumbling Democratic candidates hoping for the ultimate political success. Combined with the ineffective role of digitally mechanized bots identifying potentially “inappropriate” tweets to a team of human moderators, the existing infrastructure which is calibrated to support a bias, just received an extra layer of articulated quality control that is not conducive to endorsing frontline conservatives.
Allegedly the new set of nanny attributes configured to further diminish the opportunity for free speech throughout the Twittersphere, will feature a warning message on controversial content authored by global political figureheads with over 100,000 followers alerting users to the possibility of being offended or worse and giving the option to avoid the post or proceed through with a proactive click or swipe. Potential advertisers are grooving out to MC Hammer in jumping up and down at the prospect of increased exposure in monetizing the process, while the hacking community is devising ways to create fake red flag notices and influencing voters or demonizing a polarizing candidate in promoting nationalism. Combined with the disturbing amount of illegitimate profiles existing on the social network, the next election cycle from an online community perspective should follow all the protocol and grace of an outlaw meth bike rally complete with reticent harlots and oil drum bonfires.
Out of all of the digital sin and unwritten rules, Twitter is certainly out of the box proactive in creating new methods to screw over account holders, especially those who are public figures and possess the obligatory net worth to pay their way out of the electronic penitentiary in being reanimated and resurrected to relevant search terms. As for the average user, the heightened restrictions in freely expressing thoughts and opinions in an environment that is highly monitored and propaganda friendly, rivals living under the totalitarian regime of China. With the prevalence of disruptive Sino bots controlled by the People’s Liberation army, the scenario is probably not far from the truth, and the toll to actively engage on the platform has reached a tipping point of far outweighing any conceivable benefits.
While facing similar problems to the alpha male neighborhood bully leading the social networking hiearchy, Twitter has resorted to a game of deflection in not actually fixing the most crucial of known isssues and taking advantage of the PR channels in continuing to function as a subversive machine harvesting user data, launching visceral rhetoric and forwarding a specific ideological agenda, all in under 280 characters. If the ominous social experiment manages to stave off a certain dubious fate over the next decade, there will only be two or three users out of hundreds of millions accounts left allowed to post and the guesses of who or what that is does not elicit any positive reinforcement as to what the future holds. In the meantime the “hire a hacker” cottage industry grows, as folks wish to maintain their online persona without having any direct feedback on the arduous task of killing linguistics.
