Legacies notwithstanding, the new celebrity pretended power couple can claim credit for at least one thing, indirectly giving the assist to the Chinese government in staunching the Hong Kong protests and effectively eliminating any hope of reform for residents swept under an exploitative riptide of subversion and ideological incongruencies.
