Treading water to stay afloat in the treacherous tidal bores of fake news, righteousness is at the precarious currents of viral trends defining a society which has developed a troubling resistance to virtue. While a dime store philosopher can argue that the extremities of both sides of the political ledger share equal responsibility for the carnage of values, anti-patriots are disproportionately generating headlines in facilitating egregious acts of indecency and subterfuge to seize the ultimate gift from the gods, power.
Members of a gun control organization were complicit in deliberately tricking two Second Amendment advocates to attend and be the VIP speakers at a phony high school graduation in Las Vegas, and only exacerbated the litany of blatantly fraudulent and furtive indiscretions by filming and posting the event all over social media. The radical axiom of “it’s not wrong if it’s for the right cause” is the battle cry of the countercultural movement and echoes the current narrative of social justice warriors relentlessly pushing for the indoctrination of the younger generations, and guilt-laden gullible older Americans in achieving control for a “democratic socialism” paradise founded on the premise of thoughtcrimes.
Orchestrated by Change the Ref (CTR) founder Manuel Oliver, who is understandably probably beyond devastated and angry with the loss of his son in the Parkland (FL) shooting tragedy, the elaborate diabolical scheme far transcends the karmic rule of “an eye for an eye”.
According to Buzz Feed news, former NRA president and current board member David Keene, and economist and gun rights supporter John Lott were coerced to speak at the contrived event set-up in a Las Vegas parking lot. Both men were encouraged to speak positively to the graduates, and touch on the subject of background checks, except there were no graduates and only thousands of empty chairs as well as a production team armed with a drone filming the speeches. Adding insult to injury, after questioning the whereabouts of the students and families, the gun rights supporters were told that it was a rehearsal.
What transpired next is both shocking and disheartening. Unbeknownst to Keene and Lott, CTR had plotted and planned a memorial to the apparent 3044 students who never made it to graduation because of “gun violence”. While the figure is highly questionable, the graduation talks nonetheless were strategically edited and unleashed on social networks with the glaring message that somehow gun rights activists had infiltrated the sanctuary and solitude reserved for grieving families. With the rapidly diminishing attentions spans and the eradication of critical thinking skills, liberal and gun control reactionaries were exposed to just a sliver of the story of “a duo of tone deaf white men” showing their lack of empathy and intolerance to a viral digital audience. The unfavorable optics speak for themselves. Thus far, the YouTube video has over 12,000 views.
On top of all that, the Lott received $1000 in cash and is still allegedly owed $495 for travel expenses for his appearance at the double secret fake graduation (details were not available regarding Keene’s compensation or lack thereof), that apparently Lott documented through a string of messages which will almost certainly be a crucial piece of evidence in what could be an epic courtroom battle. The CRT claims that both gentlemen should have done their proper homework in thoroughly vetting the imaginary institution, which insinuates that future despicable behavior from other entities or individuals is forthcoming and the neighborly fabric of a once proud nation is being bombarded by unscrupulous rhetoric consisting of platitudes, and deplorable acts of unkindness.
Reasonable man says hold the memorial at any time and place along with the gun control theme in exercising First Amendment Rights, but ceremoniously trying to prove a point in a self-righteous display of decadent sanctimony by withholding critical knowledge from the keynote speakers is simply an epic party foul. Even the Pravda-style editing job is par for the course as the etiquette of the information age is still being sorted out. Of course the electronic comments are already making the rounds with the obligatory damming observation and circular logic, “the kids didn’t have a choice.”
The stunning lengths that CTR endured to pull off the articulated ruse is remarkable on one hand, and insufferably reprehensible on the other, as the creation of a non-existent high school (James Madison Academy), launching an associated website, hiring a professional production and marketing team to record and distribute the speeches under false pretenses, and securing a temporary phone number, were all components to a frustratingly intriguing storyline, which at the end made the perpetrators, and not the speakers appear as cretinous zealots, regardless of their trying circumstances.
If anything, Oliver’s sordid methodology and ulterior motive to incite the fringes, rather than properly honoring the victims, makes him no better than Biden and other gun control activists exploiting travesties to forward an agenda. A friendly piece of advice would be to leave it to the pros, such as prankster Sacha Cohen, who humorously hijacked a Second Amendment rally in Olympia, Washington, without the ugly and dark connotations from crossing that imaginary line into the territory of sociopathic partisan politics, bereft of humanity.
Lott, who has a knack for number and words summed up the whole experience. “Unfortunately, the fact they lied to me many times is kind of illustrated by the way they edited and chopped up the video that’s there,” Lott said. “Is that the way we want to have political debate in the country? Where people lie and creatively edit what people say?”
