The hush of anticipation sweeps through the theater with the hurricane gale force of snarky patrons awaiting eagerly the production featuring ideology and entertainment infused with musical and choreographed sequences designed to dull the sense and prepare the audience for coercion with all the subtlety of a tipsy anesthesiologist facing a mid life crises and taking an occasional nip of the concoction meant for the patient prepped for a frontal cortex lobotomy paid for by the tax-payer.
As the radiant stage lights illuminate the actors and actresses, the prominent sneer of the musical’s centerpiece becomes more pronounced, as the beads of perspiration on the Governor’s head dances in the effulgence of a surreal set, mocking the unfortunate residents of Washington state. On this particular night, in this relevant universe, Jay Inslee, the indelible monarch and dear leader of Washington’s government transcends tyranny to take his self-righteous show to Broadway and London, and he only flies first class on the biggest and loudest of the jumbo jets in the wake of resounding carbon shaming for the very corporations that pad his campaign finances.
Inslee is the epitome of a walking and talking dichotomy in his crude and public declarations that defy his actions. In portraying a propensity favoring conflicts of interest, the elected official is built for bureaucracy at the expense of his constituents.
From displaying an indifference to the disaster of the weaponized Chaz/Chop zone, to burying facial recognition policy within a carbon credit bill, the career politician has committed innumerable political blunders, however recently, Inslee did his best to pull a Greta Thundberg, in making statements that even for an individual nominated for multiple awards for oversight and obliviousness border on the threshold of the procedurally insane. During the Governor’s three term reign, which includes a Gavin Newsome style ascension of taxes, gun control mandates, and overall attempt to rule the populace like a ruthless King, his state legislature has become a model for Democratic Socialism garnished with accents of unchecked spending and corruption, the consequence of uninformed voters continually selecting incompetence over reason.
While the Evergreen state already has some of the highest gas taxes in the nation, Inlsee had the audacity to make public statements that alleged price gouging and a pipeline failure by big oil was to blame for prices at the pump jumping earlier in July. Teeming in hypocrisy, the Governor was ceremoniously fact-checked for his spawning of mistruths, as there was actually no technical issue with the petroleum distribution, yet he would not retract his reprehensible and ridiculous statement insinuating that the blame significantly impacting the finances of drivers does not reside in the legislative chambers. Even his staff threw the politician under the self-driving Tesla bus, as aides claimed that the inaccurate information was due to improve, rather than effective research.
On cue, the liberal rag of the Seattle Times took the Inslee’s side in justifying the absence of logic or accountability in further endorsing the politician’s nonsensical platform in believing that he is presidential material, and he is the chosen one when it comes to environmental stewardship and a strategic clone of Al Gore- sans the billions of dollars pilfered from federal grants and unattainable dreams.
In pressing society to gravitate away from fossil fuels towards electric vehicles, the governors of the West coast and others are making pronounced threats towards the supply chain, which may result in serious issues from sticker shock at retail outlets to overall food shortages. However, when unproven technology supplements the already inflated income and benefits of elected officials, the related rhetoric is nearly impossible for the naive to ignore, when emanating from a group of patronizing megalomaniacs.
Allegedly, traveling back in time to the last ice age at the expense of civilization is worth the $30,000 per appearance on the post-political retirement speaker’s circuit. At least those who preach climate crises will at least be exposed to the reality that conditions on the planet fluctuate in cyclical fashion over eons.
