Supreme Court justices rarely delve into the menagerie of a well cooked political gumbo, however Ruth Bader Ginsburg has enjoyed a filling and polarizing week. First, Ginsburg slammed Donald Trump in an interview with the New York Times. Trump retorted with this salvo here. During the same interview, she followed up her Trump bash with a rant on the Second Amendment and referenced the (2008) Heller ruling as “a very bad decision.”
While the 83 year old justice continues to perch at the apex of the legal pillar, one has to ponder if there is any validity to the theory that the judge selection process has ultimately convoluted the current pool of state and federal justices.
