According to a recent poll, the dilapidated politician in the wake of a failed run to gain the Republican presidential nomination is having issues resonating with local constituents.
Although the statistical merit of the poll can be questioned, due to an extremely diminutive sample size (a little more of 1,000 respondents), the senator’s failure to endorse Trump had adverse effects on voter confidence.
According to a Breitbart article, Cruz took massive hits overall and with his core of conservative voters, as a majority now have a much less than or less than favorable opinion of him. The poll indicated that the senator would struggle in a hypothetical match-up for reelection against Democratic candidate Jaoqin Castro.
Cruz reneged on his original decision to support Trump and was thoroughly booed by the audience at the Republican National Convention. While the framework of the poll is attenuated from the numbers standpoint, the indication is that the senator needs to do some major hand shaking to facilitate in order to win back the confidence of the people.
