Within the dimly lit sultry guitar rift tobacco stained hedonistic celebration of the beer and the female form at the gentlemen’s club on a Thursday evening, the old joke, or more accurately plight, was that the performer danced and gyrated to earn money to pay for pre-med or pre-law. The dialogue with clients in playing the role of the struggling student either enhanced the experience or earned a well-needed chuckle in a fundamentally depressing environment, despite the festive and gratuitous nudity. Push the fast forward button on the Beta tape player and three decades later, there is probably validity to the stripping community literally attending institutions of higher learning, thanks to the crises in the public education system inflicted by politicization, bureaucracy, and the deemphasis on standardized testing, critical thinking skills, and the hard sciences.
The cyclical nightmare of pushing underqualified individuals towards college resulting in a financial paradox, has led to an influx of graduates earning degrees with little or no application to the modern workforce, while lacking a viable skill-set in leading to fierce competition for a narrow scope of jobs. Coupled with radical politics, this utter failure of a modern societal engineering experiment has devolved into a widespread employment shaming, as progressives clamor for cost of living adjustments to entry level jobs, while not weighing the detrimental ramifications on the economy. As a result, under the influence of inanity, the younger generations now judge color, the color of the collar that is, as blue is now obsolete and offensive, while white is trending in the non-negotiable policy with terrorists. The social media hipsters have decreed that degrees trend more effectively than many job titles, and the juvenile popularity contest is game on. Pride has been banished from simply holding a job. Amid the snarky self-serving righteousness, the nation’s supply chain has endured an amputation of at least one appendage, with the Covid-19 shutdown mandates only exacerbating the emerging nightmare in gutting the small business community, while enabling lower-wage workers though extended unemployment benefits to stay home, rather than earning capital from a hard day’s work. A recent journey to a pair of national office supply retailers for a laptop and printer came up empty, a stunning example of a popular product shortage and a supply chain susceptible to volatility.
Though not completely at fault in failing to address the inevitable of a situation that has been slowly developing since the Clinton administration, Biden’s too little too late approach in alleviating the bottleneck of ships at major US ports will leave many consumers at the very least disappointed on digital Black Friday and Cyber Monday, not to mention live shoppers facing empty shelves in a scenario that reprehensibly rivals a Venezuelan department store. The career-politician and his minions, or vise versa have opened up the port of Los Angeles 24/7, a pathetic duct tape approach to solving a fundamental problem. The irony is lost on reactionaries, that the relentless endorsement of higher education, and the reinvention of the American Dream, is why there exists an insatiable lust for instantaneous delivery service will in all probability not be satisfied, and the forthcoming shortage of pop culture philosopher major baristas crafting lattes will cause widespread panic within the activism community in the absence of caffeine.
Contributing to the pending fiscal disaster of inflation and the indifference to basic economic dogma, are overzealous and incompetent politicians deliberately lobbying against blue collar blue industries and businesses. Their sordid tactic is to promote tech firms that pay a higher average salary, and thus satisfy an insufferable tax revenue fetish in creating an unmanageable magnitude of infrastructure. The microcosm of the issue, is that light to heavy industries have already gravitated to other parts of the world in an irony forcing skilled workers to adapt or else.
A simply Duckduckgo.com search of “ship tracker” reveals an app that provides an unsettling illustration of how putrid policy is threating the quality of life. The usual well-oiled mechanism of offloading cargo at the bustling ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach has been severely hamstrung by a lack of longshoreman and truckers. The inconsistent and strict measures pertaining to vaccine mandates affecting foreign vessels, only adds to the issue of a true global problem.

A shocking number of cargo vessels are now snarled in a maritime traffic jam rivaling a bad rendition of the Spanish Armada, extending from the shore to the Channel Islands, a portrait of the harsh economic consequences produced by ceaseless indoctrination. Disturbingly, the freakisly thin supply chain design is currently modeled for efficiency and not redundancy in retailers keeping a only a small supply of goods on hand. Without a continuous delivery source, shoppers face the reality of leaving empty handed, disparaged, or in the absolute worst case scenario, hungry.
As innovated automated processes continued to be developed and integrated replacing service and labor jobs, robots will have the last laugh in the phase shift of Christmas favorites with an Amazon twist, “…four package deliveriessssss, three days without fresh produce, two college degrees, and one starving stooge under the Chestnut tree.”
At least the dancers with stage names for gems at the local gentlemen’s club are now overeducated and empowered, as their working class regulars are aging and require a blue pill with a beer, just to remain interested in a sultry acrobatic pole dance. But given time, the mating instinct will be rendered offensive and humanity doomed.
