President Trump tweeted Saturday that he will announce his pick to succeed Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy on July 9.
According to Hannity.com, leading Democratic politicians unloaded on President Trump’s “extreme right” pick to join the US Supreme Court Monday despite not knowing the actual identity of his nominee; calling Trump’s potential candidate a “corrupt bargain.”
Senator Bob Casey protested the unnamed nominee Monday morning, hours before the Commander-in-Chief is set to reveal his choice at 9:00PM from the White House.
“I will oppose the nomination the President will make tonight because it represents a corrupt bargain with the far Right, big corporations, and Washington special interests,” tweeted Casey.
The legislator’s comments echoed similar statements made by Sen. Chris Coons, who claimed that the Senate “shouldn’t be considering this nominee.”
“I don’t think we should be rushing,” Coons said this week. “I frankly don’t even think we should be considering this nominee.”
