A young man in Buffalo, New York stepped up to the plate for the sake of his neighborhood.
Stories like this rarely make the headlines, especially in the wake of the mainstream media surrendering the remaining shreds of objectivity by going full throttle CNN-style to drive ratings through broadcasting ceaseless sensationalism. Everyday people making a difference through random acts of kindness is no longer suitable for the grotesque drama-laden frenzied content of sanctimonious social media trolls. However, at least in once instance, the information evaded the militarized censors in reaching the public.
A teenager hailing from Buffalo, was so dismayed by the post-apocalyptic Mad Max state that protestors left his neighborhood in, that he decided to do something about it, and declined to bill the unruly mob for his efforts.
Antonio Gwynn Jr., armed only with a broom a dustpan, and plastic trash bags, went to work in the early morning hours, sweeping up the shattered glass and garbage carelessly and recklessly strewn in the aftermath of a social justice warrior gathering. Sections of Bailey avenue the night before had been instantly transformed into a war zone, as tensions between demonstrators and police flared. prompting the Buffalo mayor to issue a curfew order.
Motivated by a poignant “disgust” for the destruction inflicted on storefronts and sidewalks, the 18-year-old New Yorker worked feverishly for 10 hours to restore some level of normalcy and beauty to a part of the city laid to waste by hypocrites. Ironically, the immediate climate change and proximal terraforming in discarded signs and litter by large groups of protestors ransacking public and private property is rarely addressed by organizers, and the complete lack of accountability costs the taxpayer in more ways than one.

For acting on his own volition in making a difference, the community responded, and Gwynn Jr. was gifted a car, and offered a scholarship from a local university. An amazing end and a new beginning to a journey that people around the nation can cheer for. Apparently, the young man felt compelled to make the small sacrifice, because of words of wisdom and the solid life lessons bestowed to him by his late mother.
The actions of Gwynn Jr. certainly inspires hope that people can thrive through hard work and making good choices. Even in the face of adversity, a positive can emerge.
