A new bill has been proposed in Ohio stating that an individual would not have to retreat before using deadly force in self-defense.

If passed, the new bill will change the burden of proof to the state instead of the individual as well as abolish the current requirement that a person retreat before using deadly force in self defense when a person defends their property, others or themselves.
