Exactly how far do the slimy tendrils of George Soros and Al Gore extend in perpetuating lies and junk science in lining their own pockets directly with c-notes from the tax payers of industrialized nations.
On a beautiful Easter weekend, where the irony has reached a point of hysteria in the viral love for Sister Jean and the Loyola Ramblers as lovable underdogs in the NCAA Final Four, thanks to the controversy surrounding the head honcho of the EPA, once again disingenuous content flows into the collective consciousness from a major “news” syndicate.
The latest gem from a BBC activist posing as a reporter, involves accusations of man-made climate change, a direct attack on the global shipping industry and just for good measure, an unabashed endorsement of the Paris agreement. Let the shaming begin.
“Environmental Analyst” Roger Harrabin goes off an a “carbon” kick, and throws out more Gore catch phrases (one cannot spell environmental without “mental”), than wavy gravy Green Peace activist chic brazenly baring an athiest, feminist and misandristic agenda, but don’t call me chic “chic”, screaming slogans at the busiest intersection during rush hour.
In one failed swoop of logic, Harrabin throws out this ambiguous metaphor. “International shipping produces about 1,000 million tonnes of CO2 annually – that’s more than the entire German economy.” God help us all from these extremists, who have infiltrated newsrooms like a coterie of horny prairie dogs, who seek perpetual gratification through depth and insanity of their groupthink. Allegedly, Harrabin was at the forefront of the Ozone layer scientific scandal of the middle 1980’s, where hydrofluorocarbons or HFC’s, became the scapegoat for the world coming to an end as everyone will die of skin cancer, and a group of researchers, politicians and writers profited from eliciting fear among the uninformed masses.
If the carbon loons really want to facilitate their due diligence in limiting carbon emissions, the first order of business would be to cease and desist from traveling on jet liners to their meetings, and stop using their smart phones in taking multitudinous and disturbing selfies of regions below the belt. The daunting net energy requirements to power servers and provide digital storage, is not talked about among environmental groups, thanks to the tech lobby. Ironically, most climate alarmists do not grasp the basic premises of thermodynamics, and that the natural world is governed by a system of checks and balances. Included in their shortcomings is the inability to understand the nuances of the carbon dioxide compound and how it is measured in parts per billion and has absolutely no influence on air temperature. However, the “carbon myth” fuels a lucrative cottage industry, and an active environmental compound such as methane is virtually eliminated from public discussion.
UK Chamber of Shipping Guy Platten illustrates the incessant brainwashing and indoctrination that has taken place over the last 15 years. “The public expects us all to take action, they understand that international trade brings prosperity, but they rightly demand it is conducted in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. We must listen to those demands, and the time for action is now.”
The future is bleak as a fleet of floating Prii dominate the world shipping lanes, as the energy cost to charge the batteries has the same environmental impact as the looming freighters of the past. But we will not discuss disposing of the batteries, as that does not feel good.
