After “progressiving” his way into a unprecedented and disputed 6th term, Alexander Lukashenko, a throwback to the blood thirsty dictators of the 20th century, has managed to incite the populace of Belarus in the wake of his faux election win in 2020, and the rest of the free world after his militant and blatantly undiplomatic actions in forcing a passenger jet carrying a political adversary to make an unscheduled landing in the capital city of Minsk. While Lukashenko’s reign of terror commenced inauspiciously in 1994 with signing over the basic rights of the people in creating a vassal state for Russia, the obligatory criminalization and purges of all opposition occurred over the span 25 years in practicing the dark arts of torture on
“enemies” of the government, and public executions to gain the obedience of the people. Fortunately, the revolutionary spirit somehow negotiated the ideological minefield, fear, and subversion of two and half decades to propagate a burgeoning group of twenty somethings who won’t stand for a tyrant any longer.
The shocking airplane hijack, arrest and imprisonment of 26-year-old journalist Roman Protasevich and architect for the first viable threat in what is hopefully a significant crack in Lukashenko’s powerbase, transcends the audacity and arrogance of a megalomaniac giving a deliberate order to scramble a fighter jet, target and threaten the crew of a civilian airliner, and divert the flight for political purposes. This is Stalin-level bureaucratic subterfuge crossing the threshold of transcendent sociopathy, is a biproduct to a glaring detachment with reality that is fostered through years of forcible indifference to the liberties of the individual, the concept of free will lost within the token causeways of the anthill of totalitarianism. As the ineffectual pleas of the United Nations are lost on deaf ears, Protasevich’s fate is virtually sealed, yet Lukashenko must be wary of creating an iconic martyr as the moralistic confines of the globe protract against a mongrel well past his shelf-life and on the wrong side the penitentiary. It is bad enough that the Belarusian self-proclaimed president is a stooge to Putin, but the forthcoming diatribe emanating from the Biden administration on how the US will act in response to the Lukashenko’s actions, will tell the American people a lot about what to expect in the next four years from a foreign policy front. This entirely dangerous and sordid narrative should give countercultural protestors ransacking US cities and tearing down statues of Churchill and Lincoln some needed perspective on what a society with virtually no individual rights looks like, and the dire consequences in dancing toe to toe with a true iteration of the devil.
Speaking of satanic practices, well at least from a policy angle, Democratic lawmakers responsible for enacting strict shutdowns and capacity limiting measures, are showing an annoying affinity towards hypocrisy. While California Governor Gavin Newsome was photographed in a large group at a swanky San Francisco Italian establishment during his statewide lockdown, Michigan’s regularly stigmatized Governor Gretchen Whitmer, apparently does not adhere to her own guidelines in which she shackles her constituents. The politician was spotted with dozens of others at tables pushed together at a popular East Lansing watering hole. In response to her talk out of one side of her moth approach to ostensible leadership, she justified the whole divine comedy of an insufferable shenanigan as “an honest mistake”. The phrase is the ideal belt buckle phrase to describe her malleable tenure. Sadly, if this was a Republican, the minor indiscretion would be trending and the countercultural movement would use the opportunity to lambaste all politics right of center. Social distancing and mask wearing in a busy bar aside, Whitmer continues to be at the center of a Second Amendment controversy, as she wants to prevent residents from carrying at the state capital campus, yet she is protected by a tax payer funded armed security force. The ironies in life would not be so poignant if certain people had a lick of common sense.
It wouldn’t be a typical week pandemic or not if China made the news for violating the right of a group or individual and using propaganda as a juvenile vehicle that somehow alleviates the guilty conscience of the Communist party, as the rest of the world has grown accustomed to the regular fibs proliferating from Beijing. Religious figurehead and advocate Pastor Johnnie Moore learned through a state announcement that he had been officially “sanctioned” for organizing and endorsing “cults”. This manure coming from a government that claims under 100,000 Covid-19 cases, even though the virus most likely originated at wild animal meat market or from a lab, and China’s deliberate delay in not alerting world health organizations and imposing urgent travel restrictions is directly responsible for the damaging conditions over the last year. Moore responded deftly to ridiculous claims made by the Communist regime, “It is an honor to be sanctioned by the Chinese Communist Party for giving my voice to the Uyghur Muslims, Christians (including Jimmy Lai), Tibetan Buddhists & countless others the CCP tries to silence every day — a privilege of living in the United States, the land of the free and the home of the brave. The CCP doesn’t understand the difference between ‘the truth’ and a ‘lie’ but here’s some truth we know.” Hopefully, Moore’s treatise has rustled at least a proportion of the anthill of indoctrination awake to the ongoing nightmare of a sub-existence.
Finally, as the nonsensical cryptocurrency marketplace endures its latest correction, the fluidic content published by the “experts” with all the volatility and vacuity of a blind umpire calling balls and strikes continues to assault basic intelligence. It’s as if the writing is generated by a flawed AI with the defiant temperament of HAL in refusing to close the pod bay doors of hysteria. As a recent medical journal predicted that there are those already alive who will live to see 150, it is better now that the growing pains surrounding a decentralized currency are suffered through, than leaving all of humanity’s eggs all in one basket, and susceptible to the one-click black ops hack job of the century.
Guse Eggs:
-What do certain air travelers and NBA fans have in common? Both groups are becoming exceedingly frustrated with the variable mandates to Covid-19 public health recommendations, and the propensity of sports icons to walking and talking endorsements for social justice rhetoric. Since January over 2,500 unruly passengers have been detained by law enforcement officials in reacting to mask requirements, and with pre-coronavirus crowds expected for Memorial Day weekend at airports, something has to give. The intensity of pro basketball playoffs coupled with the relentless needling from celebrities and protestors has led to players being spit on, or the dumping grounds for arena concessions. After Russell Westbrook and Trae Young both endured the severe ire of close encounters with fandom, the league has vowed to send the message that offending spectators crossing the line of common sense will be banned.
-Socialism is, as Socialism does- In one of the worst examples of politically strong arming in recent history, the road to nowhere in Montenegro funded by Chinese government loans is threatening to bankrupt the diminutive nation and transcends the keystone cops antics of historically dubious mob-managed megaprojects. The series of extensive tunnels, sinuous stretches, breathtaking bridges, each requiring a prodigious amount of cement, steel, and labor, has already equated to a nearly $950 million tab, and the end is nowhere in sight. The moral of the story is simple, don’t do business with the dishonest dragon, unless the objective is financial sabotage or worse. As the GDP of Montenegro is only $5 billion dollars, the numbers do not make sense on a multitude of levels, and once again China acts with ruthless malice.
