The transformation of Washington Governor Jay Inslee from a reactionary pawn into a contemporary self-aggrandizing monarch is apparent during each successive and abrasive press conference, a pitiful phenomenon unmoderated by the configuration of state politics. Moving from West to East, the color temperature of Washington politics undergoes a stark change, transcending rugged geography and population density. An ominous blue engulfs the Puget Sound lowlands while taking on a violet twinge near the Cascade foothills, and finally dissolving into a piercing red hue upon the descent into the fertile agriculture cornucopia born of dams and a munificence of hydroelectric energy larger than life itself.
Under arcane pretenses, King Inslee, an informal title that insinuates the Governor’s willful defiance to following procedure, the founding member of the trio of left coast politicians at the apex of state ideology hierarchy infamous for adopting tyrannical legislative precedent as a workable template to inflict totalitarianism on a national scale, has won inexplicable elections multiple times over. The success of the three-term elected official at the polls is disturbing outside of the condensed pockets of leftist voting Washington population centers in and around the Socialist autonomous zone of Seattle, but to those unfortunate residents who inhabit the afterthought regions of the country’s 18th largest state in total area, the entire state government is an unmitigated disaster influenced by oblivious constituents more concerned with forcing the hands of wedding cake bakers than the infrastructure of Washington as a hole.
With each passing month, the royal Jay has become bolder to the extent that members of his own party are beginning to push back at the audacity and irregularity of his relentless attempts to sign unsustainable and reckless policy into law. As Inslee’s 2020 bid for a run in the Presidential race focusing on climate change abruptly ended in a massive and costly failure, if it all even began, his agenda to adopt state-level carbon reducing mandates has at least united lawmakers on both sides of the ledger to prevent use of loopholes and abuse of power. Subsequently, Inslee still yet to address the egregious decision to employ a team of state patrol security detail for protection on the campaign trail that of course was funded by tax-payer dollars and had absolutely no public relevancy. In his latest caper, the face for bureaucratic nepotism unethically acted upon his own accord and deliberately removed verbiage from carbon-cap and credit legislation pertaining to a .5 cent gas tax. State law gives the Governor latitude to veto an entire bill, but prevents the act of making specific edits and inserting personal rhetoric in the absence of an official consensus by colleagues. While the move bristled those left of center, an unsettling rider in the same bill stipulating the use biometric identifiers in conjunction with advanced facial recognition technologies to achieve some level surveillance was allowed to remain, which is indicative of an extremist political environment and an unhealthy obsession with gathering personal information for God knows what.
Even the Washington’s Supreme court, which has been packed with liberal justices through four decades of Democratic rule, sided with the legislature this week over the radical practices of Inslee abusing his veto power to amend language to achieve his ulterior motives of cashing in on billions from the lucrative industry of the environmental movement. Allegedly, the overzealous politician deleted a sentence from the 2019 transportation budget clarifying that transportation providers would still be eligible for state grants, regardless if they utilized fossil fuels. By cutting the words, Inslee, a staunch proponent of alternative energies, blatantly interjected his personal political views into the document and without the required approval from his peers. His act alone shenanigans in wishing to augment reality earned a scalding retort from the state’s highest court, as the members ruled in a 7-2 majority that his actions were not an approved response in the constant internecine of adopting policy. Ironically, this is the same panel of incredulous legal professionals who put ideology over the greater good in overturning an emphatic ruling by a superior court judge in allowing a staunch gun control initiative to advance to the legislature and resulting in firearms restrictions. Clearly, Washington’s political infrastructure is tainted by reactionaries in all facets of governance and codification, wishing to control the behavior of residents through protocol and cancel at least the first two amendments of the Constitution, which is an alarming possibility in the future shock reality of fleeting attention spans and a diminished aptitude for critical thinking skills.
As liberal monstrosities continue to attract like-minded individuals susceptible to continuous indoctrination, the broken cycle will persist, as the Inslee’s of the world will maintain power over procedure, and no sane or reasonable person from the right side is willing to sacrifice themselves or their families in battling futility. At the very least, the obstinance of the Governor, complete lack of accountability, and the conflict with fellow Democrats shows that there is at least a crack in the armor, and with the encouraging results from the elections in New Jersey and Virginia elections, the midterm elections become that much more critical in terms of damage control.
