Why does this president of a private university encourage students to carry concealed weapons while on campus?
University President Jerry Falwell Had This Figured Out Long Ago
Liberty University’s President Jerry Falwell, Jr. told students during convocation that he supports their Second Amendment right to bear arms and reminded them of a free certification class available to those enrolled. Commenting on Obama’s answer to mass shootings Falwell said:
“It just blows my mind when I see the president of the United States saying that the answer to circumstances like that is more gun control,” Falwell told 13,800 resident students in Lynchburg, Va.
In response to deadly shootings by Muslim terrorists, Falwell also announced that he has had a permit for some time and believes if more “good people” had legally carried guns where these terrorist attacks have happened, it could have “ended those Muslims” before so many people died at their hands.
The university’s four-hour permit class is offered by the campus police department.
