Two of the most industrialized countries in the world face the inevitable, average citizens will struggle to heat their homes this Winter.
France and Germany, after decades of progressive environmental policy and the aggressive phasing out of traditional energies such as coal, oil, hydroelectric and even nuclear power, and the blind idealistic investment into “green technologies” are predicting widespread brownouts, as a frigid Winter looms for the Northern Hemisphere. While the performance of wind farms and solar panels have reached a fraction of predicted efficiency, and Al Gore’s disciples have pocketed trillions of dollars, the pair of flailing nations are again an abject lesson in the dysfunction of “Europization” and the detrimental effects that the liberal decision-making tree of discontent has on proven commodities.
While the experiment of the European Union experiment has proven to be abysmal, both socially and economically, the noise level of climate extremists on the continent has reached an insufferable point, with activists employing tiresome means of “performance art” to protest fossil fuels. As a large percentage of the population faces the reality of not being able to heat their homes with electricity, desperate consumers have scoured the wood market in the hopes of at least surviving the Winter through the ancient resource of fires.
The anti-coal and oil activists are clearly indifferent to this chilling scenario, as most recently a group of radicals in the UK smeared Tomato soup over a famous Van Gogh painting (obviously, these pseudo-intellectual miscreants are aware that rare paintings are protected by glass, but none-the-less, the vile gesture indicates the entitlement of the proactively ignorant). Ironically, the forecasted heavy use of wood products will invariably pollute the proximal air in homes more than coal power plants, as the high concentration of particulates may lead to long-term health issues, as boutique and trendy ideology thrusts Europe back into the stone ages, and the legacy of the Curie’s is tarnished by the whining visceral Sirens of what is construed as “progress”. The dire situation is only exacerbated by Russia’s militant insolence within the Ukraine, and the inability of the EU to deploy an effective response. The gullible lobby is allegedly oblivious to the fact that brownouts will also cause havoc for smartphones, as with no current, there is no charge for the worshipped lithium-ion batteries which power the device.
As the oil industry is the chief culprit in the narrative of environmentalists, the sordid footprint of the Green Movement is fundamentally flawed by ignoring the crucial application of the fossil substance in sustaining the global supply chain. Whether it be fuel powering transports, or lubricants critical for mass production infrastructure, the gnarly technicolored hair of the climate protestor collective is completely oblivious to the basics of engineering and economics, and only in the face of the shortage of resources, will continue an unrelenting and disruptive obstinance, which is only possible in the presence of comfort. The societal short-term memory problem is only exemplified with the collective omission of the Suez Canal closure due to the beaching of the massive freighter, and how the accident caused a worldwide catastrophe in both logistics, and supply and demand.
The properties of friction aside, as the blue-collar mentality of hard work and discipline is gradually abolished, the reverbing rhetoric of lazy minds could find themselves in the chaos of scare energy resources resulting in famine. The reactionist’s template for a renaissance reared its ugly head with the formulation of the dubious CHAZ/CHOP zone in Seattle, where activists were permitted by a city council on the political fringe to seize a downtown neighborhood under the premise of progressive anarchy. The resulting silhouette of an uncivilized travesty is a prime example of the unsettling trajectory that society is headed for if the popular agenda is embraced in favor of common sense. Europe now faces a serious plight as elected officials have suffered from a perpetual Stockholm syndrome in cowering to extremists. This alarming epidemic is readily apparent with the migration of techies to the US in attempting to change alter the traditional DNA of local power districts. Fortunately for now, the checks and balances system provided by government and big business has parried the blatantly nonsensical and emotional driven approach to eliminating reliable energy concerns, a precarious ecosystem being attacked by both software immigrants and citizen’s fetish over the Green New Deal.
While Europe remains an example of what not to do for sensible individuals, the pending and disheartening dawn of Winter, where the nuclear family in France and Germany will battered by the cold, the subsequent propaganda warms the calculated and icy mentality of Al Gore’s disciples. Soon America can descend into the eons of the past of thatch roofs and subsistence living, as a basic comprehension of thermodynamics is bartered for the sentiment of self-validation.
Somewhere, a smartphone app is being developed that can virtually heat a room. And it is guaranteed to run in a cold dead hand, provided that there is any battery life left.
